Sherwin-Williams Exterior Paints

Your Home Exterior, Done Right.

Elite Build RT paints the outside of houses in Bonney Lake and western Washington with Sherwin-Williams exterior coatings. The lineup below runs from the top of the line to the budget paint.

Every one of these paints can be applied down to 35°F, when the air, the surface, and the paint are at least 5°F above the dew point, and the temperature will not drop below 35°F within 48 hours.

Sherwin-Williams’ lifetime limited warranty covers peeling and blistering for the original purchaser while they own the home. It replaces the paint or refunds its cost. It does not cover labor.

  1. Emerald Rain Refresh exterior paint, one-gallon can

    Emerald Rain Refresh

Self-cleaning exterior paint. Dirt washes off when rain hits the film, so the house stays cleaner with less upkeep. It is built for strong UV and weather protection.

    Weather
A fit for western Washington rain. Rain rinses dirt off the surface, and the film resists wind-driven rain. It can be applied down to 35°F. The wall still needs about 2–3 hours free of rain, and in the cold, between 35°F and 45°F, it dries more slowly.
    Surfaces
Aluminum and fiber-cement siding, galvanized steel, concrete block, brick, stucco, cement, concrete, hardboard, and vinyl in VinylSafe colors.
  2. Emerald exterior paint, one-gallon can

    Emerald

Sherwin-Williams’ flagship exterior paint-and-primer. It resists blistering, peeling, fading, and dirt, with a mildew-resistant finish, often in fewer coats.

    Weather
A strong choice where western Washington wet weather brings mildew and fade. Apply at 35°F or warmer, and keep rain off the fresh film for about 2–3 hours.
    Surfaces
Aluminum and fiber-cement siding, galvanized steel, concrete block, stucco, concrete, wood and plywood (some bare woods need an oil-based primer), and vinyl in VinylSafe colors.
  3. Duration exterior paint, one-gallon can

    Duration

A thick, self-priming exterior coating with PermaLast technology. On a repaint it is meant to cover in one coat, and it resists blistering and peeling.

    Lifetime limited warranty
    Weather
Useful in a rainy season because a one-coat repaint shortens the time the wall is open to weather. It still needs 35°F and about 2–3 hours without rain.
    Surfaces
Aluminum and fiber-cement siding, galvanized steel, concrete block, stucco, concrete, wood, plywood, composition board, and vinyl in VinylSafe colors.
  4. Latitude exterior paint, one-gallon can

    Latitude

Weather-adaptive paint with ClimateFlex technology. It goes on from 35°F to 120°F and resists rain or dew soon after it is applied, so a job can stay on schedule.

    Weather
The scheduling paint for western Washington shoulder seasons. The product data sheet says rain only needs to be held off about 30 minutes. The product page says rain and dew resistance in as little as 1 hour. It applies at 35°F.
    Surfaces
Aluminum and vinyl siding, wood siding, clapboard, shakes, shingles, plywood, masonry, and metal. It is self-priming over an existing coating. Bare masonry should be under pH 9.
  5. SuperPaint exterior paint, one-gallon can

    Budget

    SuperPaint

The budget line. A paint-and-primer that resists fading and peeling, with a dirt- and mildew-resistant finish, in cold or humid weather.
